Bottoms Up

I have been trying to swallow my pride for the last week, and it is choking me up.
I had to take a telemarketing job, which I am not very good at. Right now, I am just trying to stay on long enough to get a paycheck from it.
Yesterday, I had to drink vodka all day, just to cope with being there.
Here is a new song about it:
drinking vodka in the bathroom
at my new
crappiest place of work
can they smell it, do I care?
I am just drinking vodka
in this tiny bathroom stall

okay, I know it needs some work, but I think its a keeper.
I guess we are moving to Norway soon, which is a BIG scary change for me...
if you have any other job ideas, please let me know... I really cannot take this anymore.

Hang in there, kiddo. Every Montrealer has/should/will try telemarketing at least once in their lifetime. Just don't begin to enjoy it or your soul will melt like processed cheese on a pancake griddle.

Also, the Vodka in the bathroom thing is a tad bit alarming. I try to keep my drinking limited to my outside-of-work hours, and I consider myself quite the drunk. Then again, who am I to quibble? If it helps you to "fake it through the day" (like Elliott Smith once sang in his song "Miss Misery"), I guess it's ok.

If I were you, I would keep shooting my CV at other companies until one of them turns out to be a keeper. Good luck!
